Thank you for choosing the Comet Hotel for your current or upcoming stay. To help make your visit as comfortable as possible, we have outlined different services and amenities which you may need below. Please feel free to contact a member of staff for any additional information – we hope you enjoy your stay with us!
If you need to borrow a plug adaptor, please contact reception. Please note that a deposit for the adaptor will be requested.
Air conditioning and heating is controlled by a panel on the wall which run independently for each room.
The nearest ATM is situated in the Galleria Shopping Centre.
Please contact reception who can give you advice on the attractions around the area and may be able to book tickets and transport for you. Alternatively a list of some popular attractions can be found on our website here.
We have two bars within the hotel. The first being Element Bar & Kitchen, a large bar leading to a garden seating area and the second being our hotel bar, a quieter more intimate bar.
The closest car rental is Enterprise which is located in the Galleria Shopping Centre.
All of our guest rooms feature wireless mobile chargers.
We accept American Express, Master Card and Visa.
Check out is at 11:00 but if you would like to extend your stay please contact reception for availability and additional charges. We offer every guest the possibility of an express check out. Please contact reception for more information.
All our power outlets in the hotel have an electricity voltage of 230V this is different from the US so may require a converter to switch the voltage.
Evacuation instructions and floor plans are located on your room door. We will test the fire alarms on Tuesdays at 12:00 midday.
Extra beds are available for a supplement of £40 per night. Please note that there are limited extra beds available, please contact the hotel prior to your arrival to make a request.
If you have forgotten any of the following items, you may collect complimentary ones from reception: Toothbrush and Toothpaste, Shaving Kit, Shoe Shine Pack, Sewing Kit and a Vanity Pack containing cotton buds and nail file.
For those not having breakfast with us in the restaurant we offer a take away service. Please order the night before and collect from reception, charges apply.
These facilities are based in the Hertfordshire Sports Village. Opening times: Monday to Friday 10.30 – 16:30. Saturday and Sunday 10:00 – 16:00. 5 minute walk; please see map or visit their website here.
We offer a laundry and dry-cleaning service; laundry bags are available in the wardrobe. Please take to reception before the 08:30 collection in the morning. Items will be returned the same day.
Found items are kept by the hotel according to legal requirements. Postage to you is at your own expense. If you have forgotten anything please contact us as soon as possible.
You can store your luggage with us if you arrive before check in and for the day after check out. We will gladly store small items posted prior to your arrival but large items or longer term storage may incur a charge.
Please contact reception who can arrange either a first aider or supply details of a pharmacy, doctor, dentist or hospital in the vicinity.

On-site parking is free of charge for all guests. In order to vacate the car park you will need to collect a token from reception.
Pets have to be registered before arrival. Please note that pets are not permitted in the restaurant or bar area. A daily cleaning charge applies. This does not apply to service dogs.
If you need to print your boarding pass or travel documents please contact reception, charges may apply for longer documents.
Reception is manned 24 hours please use the speed dial button or dial 400.
Your room will be cleaned daily. For those staying with us a little longer linen will be changed on the 3rdday of your stay. We like to be environmentally aware and as such will not change towels everyday unless you place them on the floor of the shower cubicle.
We offer an in-room takeaway service, this menu is available from midday to midnight.
Please do not leave any valuables unattended in your room. Please use the safe provided in your room. The hotel assumes no liability for lost items. If your safe is not working, please contact reception.
The Galleria opposite the hotel is an outlet shopping centre so there are many shops.
Please note that we are a non-smoking hotel. It is strictly prohibited to smoke in rooms and public areas. If you smoke please do so in the designated area outside.
Please contact reception and they will be happy to arrange a car for you.
All rooms include Freeview channels. The larger of Element’s bars will show BT Sports.

Please dial the number of the room you wish to call. Calling from room to room is complimentary.
Local and Long Distance Calls
Please dial 9 for an outside line followed by the number you wish to dial. Please note that the charges will be directly applied to your room folio so you will need to open your room account before making calls.
